Rainy Daylily | Black Tea

A feathery cup of unpolished chocolate. Light, but not lean, with a keen floral quality.

Produced May of 2023 in Changshun County of Guizhou Province, China. It’s a one bud, two leaf pick from the Jin Xuan cultivar growing at approximately 3,500 feet. Jin Xuan is a famous Taiwanese cultivar typically used for making oolong tea. Jin Xuan translates “Golden Daylily.” It is not frequently made into black tea.

Ingredients: black tea

Steeping Instructions

4 grams | 10-12 oz water | 212°F | Steep 4 min.

Traditional Steeping - Use 6 grams of tea in a 150ml gaiwan and steep with boiling water:

  • 10 second rinse
  • 1st Steep – 20 seconds
  • 2nd Steep – 15 seconds
  • 3rd Steep – 35 seconds
  • 4th Steep – 90 seconds
  • 5th Steep – 3 minutes

Number of Cups

2 oz makes 19 cups, 4 oz makes 38 cups
