Steep it like a green tea for a light-bodied cup with a purple hue. It goes down easy with a dark, grape-like character and a hint of juniper. Produced in 2022.

The Tea Research Foundation of Kenya (TRFK) developed the Purple cultivar (Camellia Sinensis var. Assamica) and planted the first seedlings in 2011. It is called Purple Tea because the bushes grow purple leaves. The cup color also has a purple hue. 

Ingredients: green tea

Steeping Instructions

3 grams | 10-12 oz water | 175°F | Steep 3 min. 

Number of Cups

2 oz makes 19 cups, 4 oz makes 38 cups, 1 lb makes 151 cups
