Iron Silk Puer Tea

The cooling effects of peppermint and clove held aloft by the earthy body of ripe puer. Simple and smooth, yet quietly vivid.

All ripe puer comes from the Xishuangbanna region of southern Yunnan Province, China. It starts out as raw puer, but then goes through a final step of ā€œpile fermentationā€ where they pile it up, apply moisture, and cover it for a period of time to achieve microbiological change. The result is intensely earthy and smooth.

3 grams | 10-12 oz water | 212°F | Steep 3 min.

2 oz makes 19 cups, 4 oz makes 38 cups, 12 oz makes 114 cups
